Rev. Kathy Youzwak is excited to be the settled pastor at Hampstead Congregational Church, and has enjoyed getting to know everyone. She began her ministry with HCC in September of 2019. Prior to ministering at HCC, Pastor Kathy served in several United Church of Christ congregations in New Jersey, including serving in positions as a Licensed Minister, a Pastoral Intern, and as a Pastoral Associate for Youth and Young Adult Ministry. She was ordained in August of 2019.
Rev. Kathy has a Master of Divinity degree from the University of Notre Dame as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Theology) degree from Notre Dame. Before coming to the UCC and discerning a call to ordination, she served in a variety of ministries in a Catholic context including teaching in several high schools, working in young adult ministry, and presenting throughout the country.
Rev. Kathy is originally from northern Wisconsin and lived on the west coast, before moving to New Jersey where she met her husband Jason. They relocated to New Hampshire when Rev. Kathy accepted the call to HCC. Rev. Kathy enjoys reading, hiking and walking, gardening, and crocheting. She and her husband also enjoy going out for vegetarian food, spending time in the great outdoors, and being at home with their three cats.
Herb Tardiff is the Director of Music for Hampstead Congregational Church. Herb has been a musician and teacher for decades. He served as the Minister of Music, Organist, and Choir Director at Longmeadow Congregational Church in Auburn, NH for almost forty years. He has also served as a choral and band instructor and director at various high schools for many years. He is an accomplished organist, pianist, and composer. We are grateful to have him serve as Director of Music, leading the choir, and playing the organ and piano for Sunday and all special services.
Suzanne Finocchiaro is the Administrative Assistant. Suzanne and her husband, John, have lived in Hampstead for 23 years. They have 2 daughters; Mackenzie is a senior at Boston University and Madison is a freshman at UNH. Suzanne had been a volunteer at several local organizations. Suzanne recently re-enrolled at SNHU to pursue her degree in data analytics. Suzanne enjoys crafting, walking, wakeboarding, travel and gardening.
