Sunday Mornings 9:30 am
Welcome! We are glad you have stopped by
Hampstead Congregational Church is an open and warm community welcoming long-time members, visitors and guests-- retired people, youth, and children of all ages. (We always have surprises for kids!) We come together to explore what it means to live a life of faith with joy and authenticity. Our mission is to support for one another, to offer a safe space for exploring beliefs, and to join God in the work making a world 'on earth as it is in heaven." There are lots of opportunities to make a difference in our community and beyond.
April brings Holy Week when we mark Jesus' last days. A glorious Palm Sunday service takes place on the 14th, and a deeply moving service marking Jesus' Last Supper at 7 pm on Thursday. The lights will be dimmed as the story retold by various members of the community. Open communion will be served and we will depart quietly until Easter morning.
Then, on Sunday the 21st we will gather at the beach of Camp Tel Noar at 6. We'll watch the sun come up, sing our resurrection praises, listen to a brief message. Immediately we will then move to Hadley Hall for a delicious breakfast. Joyful resurrection worship- with very special music-- is at 10!
Our community Grief Support Group meets on Wednesday, April 17th. Whether your grief is fresh or long-standing this is a time and place set aside for you. It is led by our interim pastor from 10:30- noon in the Rev. Bob Dobson Room upstairs in the church.
Blessings for a thoughtful and joyous month.
Rev. Linda Lea Snyder, Interim Pastor
